A day and a cake in the country

Edward & Pamela-308

It took Edward and Pamela Bruce just six months to create their dream wedding day on the 10th July 2015.

From a love that blossomed, Managing Director Edward and Psychotherapist Pamela decided to seal their love in front of 50 witnesses made up of friends and family in Aynho’s Great Barn.

As a true family affair, Edward and Pamela’s day was complete with the help of Rosy from Cakes For All UK. As recommended by The Great Barn, they met-up with the Banbury cake maker to explore their options to turn their cake into a reality.

Pamela explained, “Rosy’s cakes are magnificent, stunning and beautiful. But it was Rosy herself who swung it for us, we both liked her attitude and approach.”

With an idea of the cake they had in mind, Pamela and Edward arrived to the Cake House armed with photos if what they thought they wanted. However upon discovering Rosy’s hidden treasure trove of cake delights, they completely changed their mind, opting for a wedding cake totally unique to them.

Incorporating the elements of the day fantastically, their cake had elements of tradition, with a burst of themselves in it to really make it stand-out. With the added surprise of Chocolate Orange, the cake not only looked out-of-this-world, it also tasted great too.

Looking back at the day, Pamela remembered, “I don’t think there was a single moment that we can highlight of the day, the whole day was amazing from start to finish”.

And to all of those future brides and grooms-to-be? Pamela lends some useful advice, “When you have planned what you like, let go of trying to control the outcome and allow the day to take its course. Some of the loveliest things in our wedding just happened, unplanned”.
